If I was to say to you “hey, I’m going to skip this awesome party that you’ve invited me to to go and play Farming Simulator,” and you hadn’t played a Farming Simulator game before, you would possibly think I’ve gone insane. While it does feature more drivable vehicles and equipment, it lacks many features like lumber, and frontloaders. Also introduced are tree marking and new log transport methods including containers, winches, and yarders. The game is all about making more money to progress, but the grind to get it is monotonous, meaning most will lose the will to toil away on the farm long before getting access to the bigger, better machinery.

Though the series targets the audience that are knowledgeable in the farming industry, the series is generally liked by both farmers and non-farmers alike.It’s a reasonably abstracted system that makes a great point about farming – the margins that farmers face are thin at the best of times, start bringing on staff to help and building a sustainable business becomes a real challenge.
