About this deal

The palace quashed that in February with the announcement that Camilla, Queen Consort, would instead “wear a recycled crown, without cursed diamond,” reported The Post’s William Booth. Featuring portraits of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, this is the perfect keepsake from a celebratory weekend. Charles has, after all, been playing the caboose, just like another Little Golden Books character, for more than seven decades, and now he finally gets to be the steam engine! This month's Get Creative is getting royally imaginative too, with inventive acrostic poems and story starters to encourage kids to use the coronation to inspire their writing. But his good friend Tom the gardener is on hand to show him that kings must wear all sorts of hats and that he must be brave and allow himself to be the king he was born to be.

The King's Hats is a right royal, rhyming picture book that explores being brave and finding your own way. One illustration depicts the whole Windsor clan, including both sons and their families, beaming in a garden as corgis frolic at their feet, with no mention of the rift with Harry and Meghan. Both King Charles and Queen Camilla are avid readers, and Charles himself has even authored a few books (and written forewords for others). Another classic picture book series of all time is Mr Men and Little Miss, so it’s only fitting to have a coronation special!

The Post’s Roxanne Roberts wrote in her review: “At its heart, the book is the story of a sensitive, lonely kid and his quest to find purpose in his life.

Jen Long, commissioning editor, said: “ The King’s Runaway Crown is the perfect feel-good story to celebrate King Charles’ coronation and is brilliantly accompanied by Ian’s vibrant illustrations.

When an appalling catastrophe dominates the news—9/11, natural disasters, the school shooting of the week—articles about how to explain such tragedies to children pop up like mushrooms after a heavy rain.Andersen Press will publish as a paperback original, with a flourish of regal gold foiling in April, ready for the Coronation celebrations. There is a new addtion to the brilliant Little People, BIG DREAMS, biographical series in time for the Coronation.

Sue Buswell, Andersen Press’ editorial director for picture books acquired world rights for The King’s Pants from Nicholas’ agent Bill Hamilton at A. But now Charles is king, and if you are the unfathomable sort of person who’s invested in the royals, then you now must find a way to care about and be interested in him. In God Save the King, Bradley "explores the archetype of sacred kingship, its origins in primal religion, its central role in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible and its representation in modern popular culture. It does not analyze the music at the upcoming coronation—which will have the first-ever gospel choir!Through vivid prose, listeners will gain a deep understanding of the traditions, symbols, and rituals that have been passed down through generations of British monarchy. If the king of England is an annoying, unremarkable grind, how can you possibly justify your continuing fascination with the pomp, the ritual, the behind-the-scenes soap opera, and that chicken salad?
